Venus X is a well- respected fixture on NYC’s party scene having spent nearly a decade building a reputation as one of today’s foremost female DJs. You probably saw her in A$AP Rocky’s “Peso” video rocking a greenish- blonde pageboy and a white bandana headband circa the Tupac era. 

Venus X first caught our eye because of her dominant DJ presence at some of the most exclusive parties on an international scale. VIBE Vixen was able to catch up with her at the AirWalk x Project Fathom Agency event featuring Venus and MellowHype of Odd Future, where we discussed female empowerment in the music scene and the perfect DJ set to play at the Whitney museum for visual artist K8 Hardy’s Untitled Runway Show.

Last night, at the Tribeca Grand Hotel in NYC, WEtv and the Braxton family hosted a pre-screening for the season premiere of Braxton Family Values. Airing on November 10 at 9pm, a second season of  the Braxton family’s flare and drama kicks into high gear with over-the-top moments like Mama Evelyn threatening to “…slap the piss out of [Tamar].”
